Kathy Corey is The Explorer of the Year 2011!
Each year I will choose a Explorer of the Year. This honor goes to the woman who has most changed her life, come out of her comfort zone and contributes to the clubs growth.
Last year I awarded Kathy Corey the honor of Explorer of the Year.
This is a woman who moved from Michigan to Columbus to start over. Not knowing anyone she found me in the Dispatch article and signed up for the Flying Trapeze Adventure. I remember her because she was so quit and was actually trying to hide from the group. When it was her turn everyone cheered her on even though they didn't know who she was, she completed the task and I remember her smile. Kathy continued coming to my adventures and I noticed that she wasn't this shy, introverted woman anymore. She beams confidence and has made many new friendships!
